Lodovica is an Italian journalist and storyteller with over ten years of experience in communications, content strategy, and human-centered storytelling. She has worked with international media outlets including Condé Nast exploring the intersections of culture, identity, and food.
As a project lead for the University of Gastronomic Sciences’ Food & Sustainability Study Trips, she developed global storytelling initiatives connecting people, place, and nourishment. She holds a Master of Science in Narrative Medicine from Columbia University, where her work examined how stories of the body, illness, and care can foster empathy, ethical awareness, and systemic change.
Her practice bridges journalism and medicine, blending editorial rigor with reflective and narrative-based methods, grounded in a deep belief in the power of story to transform understanding and care.

Beth Cavenaugh, RN, BSN, CHPN, MS in Narrative Medicine

Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse

Beth is a certified hospice and palliative care nurse and end-of-life educator with over 28 years of nursing experience. She is the author of Some Light at the End and The Power and Pain of Nursing, and her end-of-life blog reaches more than 30,000 readers each month.
Her nursing philosophy centers on compassion, patient autonomy, and transparent communication. She holds a Master of Science in Narrative Medicine from Columbia University.

Narrative Echoes

Together, Beth and Lodovica founded Narrative Echoes LLC in 2025 and were awarded the Columbia University Fellowship “Narrative Echoes: Restoring Humanity in Healthcare.” Through this fellowship, they developed a narrative medicine framework focused on supporting nurses and preventing burnout.

Their work fosters cultures of connection, trust, dignity, and deep listening, supporting clinicians, students, and organizations in re-imagining care through storytelling, reflective practice, and co-creation.
